AI Visibility
Is AI naming your brand, or your competitors?
GeoShark asks the questions your buyers ask and records where your brand lands — named, cited, recommended or absent — across four engines, every week.

In one line
AI visibility tracking measures how often a brand is named, cited or recommended in the answers AI engines write — scored per engine, because a brand can be strong on one and absent from another.
How it works
It asks the buyer questions
Your questions, or ones drafted from the site and its competitors — put to all four engines, every week.
It reads every answer
Named or not, where in the list, whether a competitor is ahead, and whether any cited page is the brand's own.
It scores and trends it
Mention rate, share of voice and citation rate — per engine and combined — with a trend line.
What you get
- A GEO score out of 100 across the four engines
- Share of voice, mention rate and citation rate, per engine
- A trend line for every figure
- Mention rate against every tracked competitor, ranked
- The pages each answer was built from, and who controls them
- A per-question view — which questions you win and lose
AI visibility, answered
What is AI visibility tracking?
It measures how often a brand is named, cited or recommended in the answers AI engines write — ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overview — for the questions its buyers ask. It is the AI-answer equivalent of a ranking report: instead of a position in a list, it reports a share of the answer.
Which engines does GeoShark measure?
ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overview. All four are asked every week, and daily tracking for a chosen set of prompts is an add-on. Each is scored on its own — a brand can be strong on Perplexity and absent from ChatGPT, and the report shows that split rather than one blended number.
What is the difference between share of voice and mention rate?
Mention rate is how many answers name the brand at all. Share of voice is the brand's slice of every brand mention across those answers — its standing next to the competitors named alongside it. A brand can be mentioned often and still hold a small share if the answers name five competitors each time.
Do I need access to my client's website?
No. Everything is read from the public AI answers and the public site. You can run it on a prospect you have not signed yet.
How is this different from Ahrefs or Semrush?
They report the search ranking. GeoShark reports the AI answer — whether the brand is in it, which pages built it, whether the client controls any of them, and what to change.
